Penobscot River Monoprints

185.00

These gestural maps capture the vitality and beauty of the vast Penobscot River system, the second largest in New England.  Designed in partnership with the Penobscot River Restoration Trust, this image not only celebrates a beloved watershed, but also officially commemorates "one of the largest, most creative river restoration projects in our nation's history."

Benefits:

  • Each print is a unique and original piece of art
  • Ready to display and easily framable - matted size of 18" x 24"  is a common frame size
  • Celebrate your memories and connection to the Penobscot River
  • Honor the recent efforts to revitalize its flow from headwaters to the sea.
  • 5% of all proceeds go to the Penobscot River Restoration Trust

Features:

  • 12" x 18" original lino-cut monoprint with oil-based ink on 100% cotton, acid-free Stonehenge Paper (made in the US).
  • The river system design was shaped by the project locations and important sites for the Penobscot River Restoration Trust.
  • Unique watercolor wash individually painted on every print
  • Each tree was individually painted on every print
  • Each titled and signed by artist
  • Comes matted in 18" x 24" acid-free white-core mat and clear plastic sleeve.

Please note this is not a limited edition printing. Since each print is so unique, there is no one edition, and yet this is the first run of these kinds of prints.  More may be made in the future, as my main goal is to provide affordable, original art for all who love the Penobscot.
